Plan will straighten Deadman’s Curve

The Taylor County Commission is moving closer to acquiring the property necessary to eventually straighten Deadman’s Curve on Beach Road, a project the Florida Department of Transportation has pledged to pay for if the county first secures the needed property.

At the commission’s Feb. 23 workshop, the board by consensus signed off on a redesigned plan for the curve developed by County Engineer Kenneth Dudley at the request of County Attorney Conrad Bishop.
