Victim assaulted in front of her child

A Perry man is being held on a $50,000 bond after allegedly assaulting a woman by dragging her by the hair to his car and then punching her in the face, breaking her nose — all in front of their minor child.

The incident happened just before midnight Wednesday at Southern Villas; police officers apprehended the suspect, Jamar Lanard McNeal, 25, a short time later on Woodgate Drive.
