Funded by a grant from a national non-profit conservation group, a trio of Steinhatchee commercial fishermen are helping catch fresh Gulf Coast seafood to be distributed by local food banks to those struggling through the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Gulf of Mexico Reef Fish Shareholders’ Alliance and Fish for America USA, with the help of local commercial fisherman in Taylor County, have announced a collaborative effort to provide fresh, local seafood to food banks in North Florida working to meet continued needs caused by lingering economic hardships created by COVID-19.
