Lakey lawsuit settled for $55,000

The Taylor County Commission has settled a lawsuit filed by former Taylor County Administrator Ted Lakey over his 2018 firing for $55,000.

The county will only have to pay $5,000 of that amount to cover the deductible on its liability insurance policy.
