FedEx driver attacked

A Perry man facing assault and battery charges claims he mistook a FedEx delivery man for a thief after chasing him when he attempted to deliver a package to his brother’s house next door to his own residence last Wednesday evening.

However, the delivery man told deputies the man chased after his vehicle, attempted to open the car door and busted out the driver’s side window with his elbow
