The one prevailing message that came out of an hour-long joint city-county workshop on the subject of homelessness last week was that there are more services available to help those in need than most people realize.
Four members from each the Perry City Council and Taylor County Commission were present for the workshop held Tuesday, March 23, in the Taylor County Courthouse, and they were joined by two members of the Taylor County School Board, as well as representatives from several local non-profit groups who listened to a presentation from Amanda Wander, executive director of the Big Bend Continuum of Care (BBCOC).
