K9 tracks down fleeing suspect

K9 teams from the Perry Police Department (PPD) and Taylor Correctional Institution (TCI) tracked a suspect for nearly four miles through numerous city neighborhoods Saturday before apprehending him in a wooded area near Stephens Street.

David Brian Palmer, 29, initially followed the creek bed that runs parallel to Ash Street when he fled officers on foot during a traffic stop at Star Food Mart located on North Jefferson Street.
