105 mph chase ends in crash

A high-speed chase that started in Dixie County late Thursday night, and reached speeds of 105 miles per hour, ended in Taylor County after the suspect crashed her vehicle into a tree and held law enforcement officers at bay with a handgun that was later determined to be a modified air pistol.

Michelle Renee Fox, 54, of Tallahassee, is being held on a $52,000 bond at the Taylor County Jail. She is also wanted on a felony warrant out of Leon County and faces additional charges in Dixie County, as well as charges from the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) and the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
