Historical Society welcomes Goodman as guest speaker May 3

After a year-long hiatus due to COVID, the Taylor County Historical Society is gearing back up for action with a special outdoor event planned Monday, May 3, at Rosehead Park.

Local author Dr. Josh Goodman will share information about his recently-published book, “Forest Capital: A History of Taylor County, Fla.”

The event will feature a display of historical materials Goodman collected during his research for the book.

The display will open at 5:30 p.m., and the program will begin at 6 p.m.

The free event will be open to the public. All members are encouraged to attend.
