Paralympic qualifier held here May 1

This weekend the Taylor County Sports Complex will play host to a qualifying event for athletes attempting to make the USA team competing at the upcoming Paralympic Games in Tokyo, Japan this summer.

The Dixie Wheelchair Athletic Association (DWAA) received permission to utilize one of the local sports complex fields on Saturday, May 1, to hold “seated” events for adult paralympians seeking to make their rankings in shot-put, discus and javelin.
