10th in the nation!

Taylor County High School’s JROTC Drill Team placed 10th overall in the 2021 National High School Drill Team Championships held this past weekend in Daytona Beach.

“This was the team’s first time going to Nationals, and we are so pleased with how well they performed,” said JROTC Senior Army Instructor Scott Vervisch. The team placed 10th in regulation drill, 11th place in Color Guard and 10th place in inspection. “They had two months to prepare. This competition has boosted not only their confidence level but self-esteem as well. Thank you for supporting these kids and helping send them to this competition. You are all amazing.”
