CR 14 to get $230,000 railroad crossing gate

The railroad crossing on Alton Wentworth Road (County Road 14) will soon receive new safety equipment, including flashing lights and a gate system.

The $230,000 project is being funded by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), although the county will be responsible 50% of the ongoing maintenance costs, which will run approximately $1,800 a year.
