Toll road extension hits dead-end?

The proposed Suncoast Connector extension toll-road project, which might have passed through Taylor County if constructed, could soon be dead if a bill passed by the Florida Legislature is signed by Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis.

Senate Bill (SB) 100, which passed the Florida Senate 39-1 on March 25 and the Florida House 115-0 on April 27, would repeal the entire Multi-use Corridors of Regional Economic Significance (M-CORES) program, including the proposed Suncoast Parkway extension.
