More federal COVID cash coming

Taylor County is in line to receive nearly $4.2 million in Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds as part of the “American Rescue Plan Act of 2021,” which is set to provide a total of $350 billion in emergency funding for state, local, territorial and tribal governments.

The U.S. Department of the Treasury announced the county-by-county breakdowns Monday, along with initial guidance on how the money can be spent by local governments.
