    Claudette Josephine Blue-Cruse Moreland

    Claudette Josephine Blue-Cruse Moreland, 68, went to be with her Lord on May 10, 2021, surrounded by her family in Thomasville, Ga.

    She was born Sept, 19, 1952, in Perry to Colon Ansel Blue and Jeanette Sadler Westberry.

    Mrs. Cruse was of the Christian of the Pentecostal faith and was a member of the Pentecostals of Perry. Claudette was an administrative assistant with multiple businesses, but most noticeably with the Taylor County School District and Woods-n-Water.

    In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, gardening, and was always armed with a funny story.

    Claudette was preceded in death by: her father, Colon Ansel Blue; her step-mother, Leatha Blue; her mother, Jeanette Sadler Westberry; step-father, Eldrid Westberry; her husband, Jim Moreland; a brother, Michael Ashley Blue; and two step-sisters, Suzette Bundy and Shanna Clark.

    Mrs. Cruse is survived by: her 3 boys, Jamie (Stacey) Cruse, Brian (Stephanie) Cruse and Corey (Lauren) Cruse, and their father, James Cruse; 17 grandchildren, Garrett, Justin, Tyler, Alyssa, Chris, Shannon, Katie, Brittni, Bridgett, Christian, Codie, LB, Kasey, Bubba, Maddi, Avaleigh and Adelynn; eight great-grandchildren, whom she loved them all “To the Moon and Back;” her brothers, David Goodman and Terril Blue; sister, Sharlyne Beach; and her step-brother, Lavaughn Westberry; as well as a host of nieces and nephews and a special niece, Haley Cruse.

    Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 15, at 1 p.m. at Pisgah Cemetery with Brother John Johns officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday, May 14, from 6-8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
