Hacked pipeline re-opens, easing gas panic buying

As of Thursday, there were no long lines of vehicles waiting to pump gas at local convenience stores, as fuel once again began flowing through the Colonial Pipeline around 5 p.m. Wednesday.

Colonial reported it had made substantial progress in safely restarting its pipeline system after voluntarily shutting down all pipeline operation on May 7 shortly after learning it was the victim of a cybersecurity attack involving ransomware.
