TCHS Class of 2021 Senior Parade is May 21

    Posted on May 19, 2021

Taylor County High School (TCHS) will hold a Senior Parade this Friday, May 21, starting at 9:45 a.m.

“Participating seniors are encouraged to decorate their vehicles to appropriately show their pride in the Class of 2021,” TCHS Principal Heather McCoy said.

“Parents who want to see their student in the parade are encouraged to park along Veteran’s Drive or on the loop around the administrative complex/softball fields,” she said.

The parade will travel from the TCHS parking lot to Clark Street (by the old Perry Primary School) and then turn by the administrative complex toward Taylor County Primary School and Taylor County Elementary School.

The final loop will take the parade by the Taylor County Middle School and Taylor Accelerated School (TAS).

Senior activities will kick into high gear the week of graduation with Baccalaureate Services planned Wednesday, May 26, at New Home Baptist Church, starting at 5 p.m.

Also on Wednesday, a mandatory graduation practice will be held at Dorsett Stadium from 8-11 a.m.

“Students will receive their family’s armbands at that time,” McCoy said.

Graduation ceremonies will be held on Friday, May 28, at Dorsett Stadium starting at 7 p.m.

“Seniors will need to meet in the TCHS cafeteria by 5:45 p.m. to ride the bus to the stadium. In case of inclement weather, we will push the start time for graduation back in 15-minute intervals,” McCoy said.
