Six TCMS track athletes qualify to participate in state championship

In its inaugural season of the program this year, the Taylor County Middle School (TCMS) track and field team produced six athletes who qualified to participate in the Middle School State Championship in Bradenton at IMG Academy this Saturday (May 22).

Jha’miyah McIntyre participated in the 100 meters, 200 meters and 400 meter races, as well as both the 4×100 and 4×400 meter relays throughout the season, but qualified for the state championship with a long jump of 15.7 feet.
