FDOT to replace bridge connecting Taylor County and Jefferson County

A bridge connecting Taylor County and Jefferson County — known by some as the Walter Springs Bridge — over the Aucilla River on County Road 257A, will soon be replaced by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT).

The bridge in question is the responsibility of Jefferson County, but because the project will extend into a portion of the roadway owned by Taylor County, the Taylor County Commission approved a three-party agreement at its May 3 meeting to allow the project to move
forward.
