Live theatre is back at the Hippodrome

In its first live mainstage performance since COVID-19, the Hippodrome in Gainesville will present “By the Light of the Silvery Screen,” a cabaret celebration of movie musicals starring Laura Hodos and Bryan Mercer.

Featuring Academy Award-winning songs by artists such as Barbra Streisand, Judy Garland, Bing Crosby, Fred Astaire, Danny Kaye and Dolly Parton, “By the Light of the Silvery Screen” is a fun and warmhearted nod to the music of the silver screen. Call the box office for tickets at (352) 375-4477 Tuesdays through Fridays from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
