    Paula Faye Cosson

    Mrs. Paula Faye Cosson, age 77, of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, entered her eternal rest Saturday, May 29, 2021, surrounded by loving family.  Born February 20, 1944, Paula Faye grew up in Freeport and was of the Baptist faith.  She was a 1962 graduate of Walton County High School.  From Troy State University, Paula Faye earned a Bachelor of Science in Management and Business Administration in 1991 and a Master of Science in Management in 2000.  Additionally, she was a member of TSU Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society – Zeta Delta Chapter, Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.

    In her thirty-two year civil service career beginning in 1981, Paula Faye held procurement analyst and contract specialist positions at Air Force installations around the world including Eglin Air Force Base, Florida, Anderson Air Force Base, Guam, Ramstein Air Force Base, Germany, and Eielson Air Force Base, Alaska.  She concluded her civil service career in 2013, retiring from the U.S. Department of State in Washington, D.C., as a contract specialist.

    Other interests included serving her community as Freeport City Council Member, July 1988 to July 1990, and as City Clerk, July 1970 to July 1972.  Also, Paula Faye was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, twice serving as Worthy Matron of DeFuniak Springs Chapter #115.  Red was her favorite color, and the family requests everyone #wearredtoherservice.

    Paula Faye is preceded in death by her parents, Hayes and Agnes Crawford; her husband, Gary Edward Cosson; her sister Gayle Crawford Gay; and brother, Charles “Chuck” Crawford.

    Paula Faye is survived by her children: Juanita Clymer Ratliff and husband Joey of Perry, Florida, Victoria Clymer Teran and husband Carlos of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, Jay Edward Clymer and wife Karen of Independence Kansas, Edwina Cosson Bludworth and husband Chris of DeFuniak Springs, Florida, and grandson and adopted son, William Clymer of Ft. Walton Beach, Florida.  Survivors also include seven other grandchildren: Cassandra Clymer Miller, Devin Cloud, Evelina Teran, Isabella Teran, Oliva Cloud, Mitchell Worthy, and Emaley Gentry; and one sweet great grandchild, Toby Miller.  Paula Faye is also survived by one sister, Frances Crawford Martin and husband Colin of Crestview, Florida, as well as several nieces and nephews.

    Receiving of Friends with refreshments will be held from 1:00-2:00 PM, Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, 230 Park Avenue, DeFuniak Springs, Florida 32435.

    Celebration of Life Service will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, June 5, 2021, at Clary-Glenn Funeral Home Chapel, with Chaplain Anthony Cuchens officiating.

    Burial will be held at Hatcher Cemetery, Co. Road 83A, Freeport, Florida 32439.
