SRWMD adopts $29.2 million budget

The Suwannee River Water Management District Governing Board has adopted its tentative 2013-14 budget totaling $29.2 million while keeping its property tax millage rates level.

The tentative budget will enable the district “to protect water resources for the benefit of our citizens and natural systems while lessening the burden on taxpayers and establishing a high level of public service, while supporting core mission projects and cost-share programs that
benefit the citizens and resources of the district,” officials said.
