Firefighters had to employ the “Jaws of Life” to extricate a Taylor County man from his vehicle after the truck veered off Jefferson Street for unknown reasons Tuesday, June 1, at approximately 11:30 a.m.
According to Perry Police Department (PPD) Captain Gene Franklin, the GMC truck left Jefferson Street and traveled through a grassy area between Old Dixie Highway and Jefferson before hitting a tree at an estimated 45 mph and coming to a complete stop behind Lilliott & Aman Insurance.
