Walking trail collapse ‘blessing in disguise’

The City of Perry will seek a “design-build solution” to address erosion problems that caused the recent collapse of a Rosehead Park walking trail and closure of nearby Center Street for several months.

At the city’s recent May 11 meeting, City Manager Taylor Brown provided an update, sharing the findings of geotechnical consultant Environmental and Geotechnical Specialist (EGS), and stating the next step is to hire an engineering firm to design a solution based on the cause and extent of erosion problems.
