Commission ready to give final approval on $41.3 million budget

The Taylor County Commission held the first of two public hearings on its 2013-14 budget Tuesday, approving its tentative budget and property tax millage rates.

There was no one from the public in attendance outside of county employees and the press, and there was little discussion among commissioners, who worked to balance the county’s budget during a series of workshops held in July.
