    $100,000 worth of drugs ‘up in smoke’

    An estimated $100,000 in cocaine, marijuana and methamphetamine went up in smoke at the Perry Police Department (PPD) Tuesday morning, June 8, during the execution of an evidence destruction order signed off by Circuit Judge Greg Parker.

    The PPD and State Attorney’s Office (SAO) worked for nearly four months reviewing cases dating from 2007-18 to determine if the evidence met the criteria for destruction.
