    Betty Lou Brickey Villa

    Betty Lou Brickey Villa, 85, passed away on June 4, 2021, in Perry.

    She was born April 7, 1936, in Perry to Levi Dyal Green and Annie Bell Hilton Green.

    Betty was raised in the Pentecostal faith, attending the Center Street Church of God, and always kept a deep personal faith.

    She was a homemaker for most of her life and her family was always the most important thing to her. She loved photography and spent many years researching family genealogy where she loved to find new connections and family members.

    She was preceded in death by: her husbands, Vernon Brickey and Virgil Villa; her son, Warren Brickey; her parents, Levi “Bud” and Annie Green; sisters, Frankie Green and Dorothy Hodges; brother-in-law, Joe Hodges; stepdaughter-in-law, TJ Brickey; stepson-in-law, Mike Dougherty; nephew, JL Hodges; and niece, Danielle Lowery.

    She is survived by: her children, Terry Brickey (Linda) and Theresa Roe (Jim); and stepchildren, Richard Brickey, Vincent Villa (Ginny), Sandra Alexander (Bobby) and Rhonda Villa; as well as her grandchildren and step grandchildren, Brian Villa, Chris Villa, Derek Dougherty, Melissa Simmons, Sherry Simmons, Stevan Simmons, and Keely Collins (Josh); and great-grandchildren, Scarlett Simmons (and her mother, Mallory White) and Paisley Collins; along with her niece, Pam Phillips (Wayne); and many cousins.

    Funeral services will be held today (Wednesday) at 2 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry with Brother David Stephens and Brother Eddie Pridgeon officiating. Interment services will follow immediately afterward in Pineview Memorial Cemetery.

    The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday, June 8, at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
