Robbie Rosetta Herrin, 88, passed away on June 4, 2021, in Perry.
She was born Feb. 22, 1933, in Madison to Charles Postell Gramling and Clara Mae Johnson Gramling.
Robbie was a Baptist and was a member of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. She worked as a nurse for more than 30 years. She loved the outdoors, gardening and spending time outdoors.
Robbie was preceded in death by: her parents, Charles Postell Gramling and Clara Mae Johnson Gramling; her husbands, Curtis Coolidge Murray Sr. and James Herrin; her two brothers, Wallace and Charles Gramling; two sisters, Elizabeth Brown and Annie Lacy; and her sons, Robbie Gramling Murray and Kevin Don Murray.
Robbie is survived by: her four sons, W.L., Laverne and Wesley Levingston, and Curtis Coolidge Murray Jr.; her daughter, Tommy “Tonya” Herrin; her sister, Joyce Frasier; 16 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held on Monday, June 7, at 11 a.m. at Woodlawn Cemetery with Brother Billy Gipson officiating. The family received friends prior to the service, from 9:30-10:45 a.m., at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
