City to cut $30,000 in recreation funding?

Before the Taylor County Commission’s decision this week to transition youth baseball to a parent-run organization, City of Perry had formally notified the commission that it will no longer help finance the cost of public recreation — namely the youth baseball program.

However, the city council has agreed to continue to provide maintenance and certain administrative duties.
