Convicted murderer makes plea for freedom

After serving 40 years behind bars, a man convicted of first-degree murder will appear before Circuit Judge Greg Parker next week to ask for a second chance at freedom.

A re-sentencing hearing for LaWayne Henderson is scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, June 30, in the third-floor courtroom of the Taylor County Courthouse.
