City begins budget talks

While still waiting on official revenue projections from the state, city council members and staff were scheduled to begin budget discussions today (Wednesday) during a lunch brainstorming session.

City Finance Director Penny Staffney stated the preliminary budget “is not scary looking,” but added she had not yet entered updated health insurance numbers, as well as official revenue projects from the state and local property appraiser’s office.
