Heading into budget talks for the upcoming 2021- 22 fiscal year, city council members learned this week that rising property values should provide the City of Perry with approximately $92,000 more in local tax revenues next fiscal year.
An estimated 5.3% increase in tax revenues – fueled in part by a red-hot real estate market – will at least help the city offset some rising costs – even if council members vote to keep property tax rates the same.
