VFW hosts recruiting drive July 3 at Taylor Senior Center

Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 9225 invites the community to a recruiting event for new members and Auxiliary members this Saturday, July 3, at the Taylor Senior Citizens Center.

Beginning at noon, local VFW members will serve hamburgers, hotdogs, chips and a drink for just $6 to eligible community members who are interested in joining the local VFW post.

“We are willing to help with dues for eligible members if needed. The pool table room will also be open with music playing, and we will be having a Buddy Poppy drive,” Post Commander Michael Thrift said.

To be eligible to join the VFW, you must be a veteran who was deployed to a combat zone overseas.
