Annual mullet toss July 4

The Steinahtchee Community Center will host the annual “mullet toss” on Sunday, July 4, from 5-7 p.m.

Community members are invited to visit 1013 Riverside Drive before the Independence Day fireworks show begins at “dark-thirty” that evening.

It will be $5 to toss three fish for adults and $1 per fish for children under the age of 12.

There will be trophies awarded for three categories, including men, women and children, as well as $25 cash for the overall longest distance thrown.

The mullet toss is sponsored by the Steinhatchee Projects Board.

“Please make plans to join us this year! This is always a fun and slippery time!” organizers said.
