‘Freedom Week’ exempts sales tax on many summer purchases

saster preparedness and back-to-school sales tax holidays, Floridians have another sales tax holiday this year. July 1 through July 7 has been declared “Freedom Week,” exempting certain purchases from state sales tax, making it a great time to stock up to enjoy Florida’s great outdoors.

This sales tax holiday applies to the sale of certain boating and water activity supplies, camping, fishing, general outdoor supplies and sports equipment. For a detailed list, visit www.floridarevenue.com.
