    Habitat plans fund-raising yard sale for this Saturday

    Taylor County Habitat for Humanity will hold a yard sale featuring regular and vintage items at their 1409 South Jefferson
    Street location this Saturday, July 10, from
    8 a.m. until 1 p.m.
    Items to be offered in the sale include furniture, vintage crystal and silver, dinnerware sets.
    There will also be a large variety of household items and other goods which have been donated to the local charity to use in raising funds to support their operation.
    The local Habitat organization provides sustainable housing for families who do not qualify for conventional mortgages.
    Currently Habitat is working on a home in Steinhatchee.
    In addition to building homes, Habitat assists local homeowners in making repairs when they have no money or family to help with those repairs.
    “We accept donations for yard sales every other Friday from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.,” Executive Director Karol Newport Barr said.
    In July, this includes July 16 and 30.
    The organization cannot accept clothing because of the lack of staff too properly ensure these items are clean.
