Accusing the Taylor Coastal Water and Sewer District (TCWSD) of standing in the way of development along the coast, the Taylor County Commission voted 4-1 this week to remove all but one of its board members.
The decision came during a special meeting held Monday, June 12, with Commissioner Jim Moody casting the only vote against the move, saying he was concerned it could jeopardize the TCWSD’s loan with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) and possibly force the commission to assume control of the district’s operations.
