    Willie James Abercrombie

    Willie James Abercrombie, 86, of Perry died July 16, 2021.

    He was born in Maplesville, Ala., and received Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age. He attended school at a Chilton County Public Schools in Clanton, Ala.

    Willie was a hardworking employee with a strong work ethic, retiring with more than 25 years from Consolidated Wood Products as a machine operator in Perry.

    He leaves to cherish his memories: four sons, Herman Abercrombie, Rickey Abercrombie (Jeri), Michael Abercrombie and Michael Miller (Tara); seven daughters, Sandra Abercrombie Hughes (Tommy), Shirley Abercrombie, Sheila Abercrombie Kelly, Shalonda Abercrombie, Simone Abercrombie, Kim Ward and China Ward; four brothers, Percy Abercrombie (Mary Ann) Roger Abercrombie, Robert Abercrombie and Charles Abercrombie (Bylinda); a sister, Earlean Foster (Henry); and a former wife, Larry Abercrombie; 29 grandchildren; and a precious host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.

    Visitation will be held Friday, July 23, from 5-6 p.m. at Trinity Funeral Home.

    Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 24, at 11 a.m. at Trinity House of Praise followed by interment at Pineview Memorial Cemetery.

    To promote safety, everyone is required to wear a face mask for the visitation and funeral.

    Trinity Funeral Home is in charge of the funeral arrangements.
