Man jailed after 2-hour standoff

Police officers responding to a domestic violence call found themselves in a standoff with an armed suspect who had barricaded himself inside a home on Sunday afternoon, July 25.

After two and a half hours of talks, the suspect, Derak O’Neal Cook, 29, surrendered to officers without further incident.
