As Taylor County, the state of Florida and large portions of the U.S. deal with a recent spike in positive COVID-19 cases, the local Florida Department of Health (DOH-Taylor) continues to push the benefits of being vaccinated.
Infection numbers are rising rapidly and have more than doubled over the past three weeks, according to DOH-Taylor Public Information Officer Martine Young. The recent and sudden rise in cases threatens to break a two-month stretch during which there has not been a COVID-19 death reported in Taylor County.
