    City of Perry Code Enforcement Hearing Magistrate
    The City Council of Perry is soliciting applications for a HEARING OFFICER (Magistrate) FOR CODE ENFORCEMENT CASES FOR THE CITY OF PERRY.
    Qualified firms or individuals desiring to provide the required services must submit their qualifications to City of Perry Code Enforcement Hearing Officer, 224 S. Jefferson Street Perry, Florida 32347, or via email to “mailto:citycares@cityofperry.net citycares@cityofperry.netå.  The hearing officer is hired on a contractual basis by the City Council and is not a City employee.  Any retainer and hourly rate will be negotiated.  The City Council will consider applications and take whatever action it determines appropriate at advertised and public meetings beginning on September 24, 2013.
    Each applicant must be an Florida licensed Attorney at Law, be a member in good standing with the Florida Bar, have a working knowledge of civil law and be able to make decisions of the enforcement of the City of Perry Code of Ordinances, have a working knowledge of Due Process and be a person willing to listen to all sides of an issue and give a well reasonable written decision.  Code Enforcement hearings are typically held the first Monday evening of each month.
    The City reserves the right, in its sole and absolute discretion, to reject any or all applications, to cancel or withdraw this solicitation at any time and waive any irregularities in the process.  The City also reserves the right to accept the application deemed to be in the Cityís best interest by the City Council.
