James Lorenza Faulkner went to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 1, 2021, following a brief battle with cancer.

Born on April 4, 1947, to Juanita Dubose and Chandler “C.L.” Faulkner, James was a lifelong Taylor County resident.

During his full and colorful life on this earth, James made a living both on land and at sea, working as a pipe fitter/welder and commercial fisherman/crabber.

He was preceded in death by: his mother, Juanita Dubose; father, C.L. Faulkner; and a sister, Pat.

He is survived by: his wife of 19 years, Lisa;14-year-old granddaughter Bella; grandson, Alec “Titan” Parker; one sister, Marilyn Pickles; stepdaughter, Kera Ellison Parker (Shawn); and unofficial daughter/fishing partner, Amy Cope.

James doted on his granddaughter “Bug” (Bella), loved fishing, cooking for anyone and everyone who would join him for a meal so he could tell stories and jokes.

He was a longtime member of the Perry Elks Lodge, a Baptist by faith and owner/operator of Faulkner Lawn Service for the past 17 years.
