Lee L. Slaughter

Lee L. Slaughter, 90, died on July 29, 2021.

He was born in Lake Bird on Sept. 2, 1930.

Lee proudly served his country in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by: his parents, Perry L Slaughter and Pearl Allen; three brothers, Early, Bily and Henry Slaughter; sister, Genevieve Sartling; and daughter, Terry Ciehak.

He is survived by: his wife of 65 years, Geneva Slaughter; son, Roger D. Slaughter (Jean Thrift); daughter, Lori Harris; daughter-in-law, Katrina Duckworth; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and multiple family and friends.

A private memorial service is planned at a later date.

In lieu of flower, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Imogene Simons Swearingen

Imogene Simons Swearingen, 87, passed away on July 28, 2021, in Tallahassee.

Private family services will be held at Pineview Memorial Cemetery. A memorial service will be held at a later date.

All arrangements are under the direction of Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
