The Taylor County Commission unanimously agreed to keep the county’s proposed property tax millage rates the same for the 2021-22 fiscal year, a move that is expected to generate an additional $688,000 due to rising property values.
The commission held a special meeting on Thursday, July 29, to approve the proposed rates, but the final budget and millage rates will not be set until after the board holds two public hearings in September.
