Vaccinations on the rise as COVID cases surge across the community

While the number of COVID-19 cases reported in Taylor County is still on the rise, the number of people receiving the vaccine is increasing as well.

According to the latest weekly report from the Florida Department of Health (DOH), there were 103 new COVID-19 cases reported in Taylor County during the seven-day period ending Thursday, Aug. 5 — an increase of 30 (41%) from the week before when there were 73 cases.
