County to finalize budget Sept. 23

The Taylor County Commission held the second of its two hearings on its 2013-14 budget Monday evening, approving several items but continuing its decision on the budget and property tax millage rates until Monday, Sept. 23.

At the start of Monday’s hearing, Finance Director Tammy Taylor notified the board that there had been an error in the advertisement published in Sept. 13 edition of the Perry News-Herald where it listed the tentative millage rates approved by the board last week.
