    Steinhatchee residents asked to document flood damages and report to emergency management

    As Steinhatchee residents continue clean-up efforts from widespread flooding earlier this month, the Steinhatchee River had risen to 21.59 feet – two feet above flood stage — and was slowly rising after the area received several more inches of rain from Tropical Storm Fred.

    The Taylor County Sheriff’s Office Division of Emergency Management is urging property owners to document any damage or losses every step of the way.
