With the lease agreement between the county and Doctors’ Memorial Hospital (DMH) set to expire in November, the Taylor County Commission and the DMH Board of Directors began discussing a modified lease Tuesday night, but a divided commission voted to table further talks until its workshop next week.
The abbreviated talks focused mostly on a proposed addition to the lease agreement, which would give DMH the authority to partner or participate with a regional health care system, but the language appeared to create confusion among the commission.
