Terril Colon Blue
Mr. Terril Colon Blue, 64, of Perry passed away on Friday, Aug. 20, 2021, at Tallahassee Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.
Terril was born in Perry on July 28, 1957, to Colon Ansel Blue and Jeanette Sadler Blue.
He was a 1975 graduate of Taylor County High School and a lifelong resident of Taylor County.
He worked for Buckeye Cellulose, retiring after 37 years of service.
He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed going offshore with his two sons. He enjoyed spending time with his family and grandkids, and will be missed by his family, aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.
In his spare time, he enjoyed arrowhead hunting with his wife, building homes for his family and friends, and helping others that were in need.
He was preceded in death by: his father, Colon Blue; his mother, Jeanette Blue-Westberry; stepmother, Leatha Smith Goodman Blue; stepfather, Eldred L. Westberry Sr.; a sister, Claudette Blue Cruse-Moreland; a brother, Michael Ashley Blue; and two stepsisters, Suzette Bundy and Shanna Clark.
He is survived by: his wife of 36 years, Jodie Blue; two sons, Kyle and Cody Blue; two grandkids, Addie and Fisher Blue, all of Perry; one sister, Sharlyne Blue Beach of Perry; two stepbrothers, David Goodman of Perry and Lavaugh Westberry (Patsy) of East Palatka; and his dear friend who was like a brother, Richard Rowell (Kay), of Perry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Graveside funeral services were held Tuesday, Aug. 24, at 10:30 a.m. in Pisgah Cemetery with Pastor Cody McNeese officiating. The family received friends Monday, Aug. 23, from 6-8 p.m. at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.
