    Sheri Anne Snow Moon

    Sheri Anne Snow Moon, 48, passed away Aug. 17, 2021, in Perry.

    She was born April 11, 1973, in Perry to Mayo and Hazel Jones Snow.

    Sheri was a devoted wife, mother, daughter and teacher. She was passionate about everything, but primarily her beloved son Owen, and the hundreds of students she taught over her 27-year teaching career in the Taylor County School District.

    Sheri loved each of her students so much and referred to them as “her kids.”

    In her early years, she was a cheerleader at Taylor County High School, as well as head cheerleader at North Florida College.

    Her hobbies included cooking, crafts, travel and everything makeup!

    Sheri was a very attentive mother and was passionate about all things her son was involved with — never missing one of his games.

    She was a devoted member of the Beta Sigma Phi sisterhood and spent several years as chairman of the Relay for Life. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Perry.

    Sheri was preceded in death by her father, Mayo Snow.

    She is survived by: her mother, Hazel Snow; her husband of 24 years, Robby Moon; one son, Owen Moon; two sisters, Faith Snow Severance (Matt) of Cairo, Ga., and Susan Snow Brafford (Rick) of Tallahassee; and one brother, David Snow (Amy) of Bainbridge, Ga.; as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

    The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Burns Funeral Home of Perry.

    A celebration of life service is planned for a later date.

    Arrangements are under the direction of Burn Funeral Home.

    In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Florida Baptist Children’s Home in her memory.
